The most ambitious undertaking in the Tiger Style catalog, the Irresisistible Impulse box set took over 2 years to complete. We asked a very basic question: How is it that someone so influential has remained in relative obscurity for so long, especially given the resurgence of neo-post punk at the time, as championed by bands such as The Rapture and Liars? The box set collected almost all of Chance’s output from the 70s and 80s, including previously unreleased sessions and tracks. The set contained liner notes from Glenn O’Brien, former music editor for Interview Magazine and the director of Downtown 81.
