TS-029 / The Mercury Program A Data Learn the Language

The Mercury Program had paid their dues by this point. Hailing from Gainesville, Florida, this band steadily grew and nurtured their sound through years of records and constant touring. 2002 marked the release of their third full length and it is the culmination of years of experimentation and musical growth. A similar formula went into the making of this record as had the previous efforts, recording for 2 weeks with Andy Baker in Athens. However, the results were far from repeated history. A Data Learn the Language is an 8-song, 50 minute ride down the path of a band coming into their own. The LP was released on Counterflow Recordings.

Anecdotes

Quite simply: the first band that called us back when we started Tiger Style. These fellas are probably the nicest, most generous, understanding, and genuinely good people we had the privilege of working with.
