TS-024 / her space holiday Audio Astronomy

Audio Astronomy was Her Space Holiday’s debut release. Originally put out by Train Bridge Records as a 12″ only release in 1997, her space was a complete stylistic change for founder Marc Bianchi, who achieved success in California hardcore bands such as Indian Summer and Mohinder. While fans expected a blast of noise from Her Space Holiday, they instead received a quiet assault of sincerity and minimalism. Marc used HSH as a vehicle for him to explore the more intimate elements of songwriting instead of the sheer sonic power of his earlier projects. Elements of Bianchi’s trademark “boy-meets-girl-things fall apart” lyricism and his subdued delivery were unlike anything coming out of California at the time.
