TS-007 / Her Space Holiday Home Is Where You Hang Yourself 2.0

Home Is Where You Hang Yourself saw many releases and forms. Originally released as a slipcased 2xCD set with a 2nd disc of remixes and rarities, and then re-released as a single disc album, the album delves into a person’s mind, revealing feelings of loneliness, fear, rejection, confusion and depression, yet throughout there also is a solid dose of both musical and lyrical complexity. The album documents a musician coming into his own and experimenting with what would become the future direction of Her Space Holiday.

Anecdotes

We all liked her space holiday and in 1999 we were groovin’ to the vinyl only release, “Audio Astronomy”. Ari was really into all things Spacemen 3 at the time and HSH definitely had that kind of ambient, spacey thing going on. We thought it was crazy that Marc Bianchi never even listened to Spacemen 3 before. Marc became one of our closest friends and one of our favorite times with Marc was traveling in London with him and Conor Oberst for a series of shows that unlocked the beauty of her space holiday to amateur ears.
