LWR-005 / The Album Leaf An Orchestrated Rise To Fall

LP/7″
OOP
The first Tiger Style release, but more officially released on Linkwork Records. CD released on Music Fellowship. First solo record from Jimmy LaValle features a gatefold lp (tracks 1-8) which includes blue 7″ (tracks 9-10). A Short Story is significantly longer than the CD version. With album artwork by Richard Trumbull, the one-time pressing sold out very quickly.
While we were in the process of starting Tiger Style Records, Jimmy Lavalle of Tristeza approached us about putting out a record by his “side project” call The Album Leaf. We were pretty psyched until Jimmy told us that he already had a label for the CD version and he wanted us to jut put out the vinyl. We agreed as long as we had the opportunity to release a proper full-length in all formats sometime in the future (that album ultimately was “One Day I’ll Be on Time”). We all agreed and moved forward. Problem was that Tiger Style didn’t even EXIST yet and we were in a rush. We decided to release the LP-only “Orchestrated Rise to Fall” on Mike Treff’s old label, Linkwork, as a stop gap solution. Funny enough, our first official record on Tiger Style was actually released by a different label.
